Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marius Metropolis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Cocoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cocoa dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Metropolis misses with a hook. Cocoa ducked under it nicely.
Metropolis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cocoa throws the kick towards the body but Metropolis avoids it.
Metropolis misses with a looping left.
Cocoa misses with a kick to the body.
Metropolis looks to land a right hand but Cocoa moved out of range.
Metropolis misses the jab.
Cocoa jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Metropolis uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cocoa has time to react.

Cocoa throws a hook but Metropolis avoids it easily.
Metropolis swings for the body but Cocoa moves out of range.
Cocoa doesn't manage to clinch there - Metropolis circles away.
Metropolis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cocoa as he jumps to the side.
Metropolis throws a lazy right hand but Cocoa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Metropolis throws a nice looking combination but Cocoa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Metropolis closes the distance and clinches up with Cocoa, looking for a takedown. Metropolis pushes Cocoa against the cage but Cocoa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cocoa gets the takedown into side control.

Cocoa trying to control the position but Metropolis is working away.
Metropolis tries to bench press Cocoa off him but Cocoa keeps the position.
Cocoa goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Metropolis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cocoa's guard! Nice work there by Metropolis!

Metropolis works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cocoa wants to get back to full guard.
Metropolis looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Metropolis in particular looking to stall.
Cocoa blocking the ground and pound attempt from Metropolis.
Cocoa avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Metropolis.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Metropolis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cocoa's head.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cocoa looks to land a left hand but Metropolis moved out of range nicely.
Metropolis feints and as Cocoa raises his hands in defense, Metropolis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Metropolis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cocoa manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Metropolis has Cocoa in his guard.

A close round but Nick Cocoa will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Metropolis with a poor takedown
and Cocoa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Metropolis misses with a takedown attempt - Cocoa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cocoa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like Nick Cocoa has been cut.
Cocoa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Metropolis as he avoids it easily.
A left lands for Metropolis.
Cocoa misses with a hook to the body
and Metropolis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cocoa's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Metropolis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cocoa works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Metropolis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Cocoa is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Metropolis's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Metropolis works his foot free and advances to mount.

Metropolis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Metropolis trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Cocoa wants to control but Metropolis is having none of it.

Cocoa is desperately trying to improve his position but Metropolis has a good base and remains in mount.

Cocoa is bucking up trying to escape but Metropolis cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Nick Cocoa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
