Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Risto Saarela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack shepard could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Risto Saarela's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack shepard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Saarela! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! shepard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saarela throws a body kick that misses. Saarela shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Saarela throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. shepard is staying active underneath Saarela, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Saarela looks to land a strike but shepard avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Saarela trying to control the position from guard on top but shepard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. shepard is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saarela trying to control the position from guard on top but shepard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Saarela postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Saarela stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. shepard swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Saarela forces shepard back against the ropes and clinches. Saarela wants to break free but shepard has control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. shepard has Saarela pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Saarela manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. shepard breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Saarela closes the distance and pushes shepard back into the ropes. Saarela wants to break free but shepard has control.

Saarela takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Saarela changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Saarela misses with a two punch combination.
Saarela closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. shepard did well to prevent Saarela getting side control. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Saarela in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. shepard tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Saarela!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Risto Saarela!
