Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jack Alveraze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Micka Wallace! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wallace throws a nice looking combination but Alveraze bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alveraze moves away from the strike by Wallace. Wallace swinging wildly here.
Wallace scores with a one two! Alveraze had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
It looks like Jack Alveraze has been cut. Alveraze thows a body shot but no joy. Wallace takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wallace lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wallace throws a right and a left that both miss. Alveraze on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Alveraze scores a takedown into full mount! Wallace can't escape the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Alveraze controlling from the full mount. Wallace has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Alveraze looking for the RNC.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wallace is trying to break free.
Alveraze wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy. Alveraze is looking for the choke from the back position but Wallace is controlling his hands well. Alveraze working for the choke. Alveraze is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Alveraze is breathing heavily. Wallace holding both Alveraze 's hands and preventing any damage. Even with his hooks in, Alveraze manages to miss with strikes from the back. Wallace wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wallace preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Alveraze. Alveraze is trying to stick to Wallace's back but Wallace is turning into Alveraze. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Alveraze's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wallace. Wallace must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wallace trying to control the position from guard on top but Alveraze is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wallace connects with a couple of short punches. Wallace wants to get up but he can't break Alveraze's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Wallace tries to free his leg and advance position but Alveraze is retaining full guard. Alveraze throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallace trying to control but Alveraze is working from the bottom. Wallace with a flurry of punches that miss. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wallace accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Alveraze drives through with a takedown into guard. Alveraze postures up in Wallace's guard and throws a big left but Wallace blocks it. Wallace looking to control.
Wallace wants to stand but Alveraze is controlling the position. Alveraze pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Wallace is keeping the position for now. Wallace is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Alveraze cracks Wallace with a solid left hand. Wallace is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallace is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Alveraze dives into side control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Wallace swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wallace gets caught flat footed, as Alveraze shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Wallace has his foot on Alveraze's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alveraze works his way back into a safe position though. Wallace not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alveraze stops Wallace from standing up. Wallace wants to sweep but no luck. Wallace is looking for a triangle but Alveraze pushes his legs off easily.
Alveraze tries to free his leg and advance position but Wallace is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Alveraze dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jack Alveraze's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Wallace uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alveraze. Wallace shoots and misses and Alveraze counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Wallace wants to get back to his feet.
Alveraze is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Alveraze is thwarting Wallace's attempts to control the position. Alveraze is looking for a kimura here.
Alveraze throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wallace tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Alveraze counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wallace won't be happy with that. Wallace manages to get back to half guard. Wallace scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Alveraze manages to mount him!
Wallace's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Alveraze wants to control the pace but Wallace is squirming around nicely. Wallace is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Wallace is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Alveraze working for a guillotine from mount but Wallace is in no mood to give up. Wallace's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Alveraze trying to control but he's not successful this time. Wallace tries to lock up and control but Alveraze gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Wallace is trying to reverse the position but instead Alveraze has taken his back - oops! Alveraze is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Wallace is trying to shake Alveraze off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Alveraze won't be happy about giving up the dominant position. Wallace clinches. Alveraze tries to stall but Wallace uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Wallace is trying to stand up here but Alveraze is controlling him well. Wallace actively working from the bottom here. Wallace blocking the ground and pound attempt from Alveraze. Jack Alveraze dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jack Alveraze's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Wallace closes the distance but Alveraze moves to the side and Alveraze counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Wallace's guard now. Wallace is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Alveraze is controlling him. Alveraze loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wallace is looking to stand up but Alveraze isn't so interested in that idea. Jack Alveraze overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Wallace is wriggling around but Alveraze manages to pass to half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Alveraze takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wallace lands a two punch combo.
Alveraze shoots in and bounces Wallace off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Wallace working a defensive guard here.
Alveraze drops back looking for a leg! Wallace is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wallace manages to kick Alveraze off! Alveraze jumps back into Wallace's guard. Alveraze is posturing up here but Wallace has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Alveraze tries to roll out but it's too tight and Alveraze has to tap! Slick submission there by Wallace!
