Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steven Stifler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dom Holch! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Holch bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Holch scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Steven Stifler has been cut. Holch swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Holch bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Stifler's head backwards. Holch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stifler was well out of range. Poor timing from Holch. Steven Stifler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stifler scores with a punch to the head. Holch misses with a wild combination.
Stifler lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Dom Holch has been cut. Stifler throws a head kick but Holch moves out of range.
Stifler misses with a combination
and Holch counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Stifler throws out a loose jab but Holch uses good head movement to avoid it. Stifler throws a left and a right that both miss
and Holch counters with a straight right hand. Stifler dodges the punch combination from Holch.
Jab by Stifler. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stifler uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Holch. Holch ducks under a wild hook from Stifler.

and Holch counters with a series of strikes. Stifler will be more careful next time no doubt. Stifler throws out a powerful jab. Stifler throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Holch counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Holch. Holch lands a couple of digs. This has been an exciting period of action! Stifler is looking to stand up but Holch isn't so interested in that idea. Holch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Holch is looking to work some ground and pound but Stifler has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holch wants to control from the top but Stifler keeps moving. Holch thows a big elbow that misses. Holch is looking to work some ground and pound but Stifler has wrist control. Stifler wants to stand and escape but Holch is having none of it. Holch tries to free his leg and advance position but Stifler is retaining full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Holch moves out of range of the body kick from Stifler.
Holch misses with a wild body shot. Stifler gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. A lazy left from Stifler finds it's target. A slow jab from Stifler misses its intended target. Holch works Stifler's body with a nice hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holch throws a left and a right that both miss
and Stifler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Holch connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Holch ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Holch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Stifler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Holch. Steven Stifler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A slow jab from Stifler misses its intended target. Stifler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Holch counters with a stiff right hand. Stifler missing with a left hand there. Holch was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Stifler checks a low kick from Holch. Holch connects with a nice looking jab.
Holch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stifler was well out of range. Poor timing from Holch. Stifler throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Stifler misses with a leg kick and Holch counters with a nice double leg into side control. Stifler won't be happy with that. Holch tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Holch controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The strikes coming from Holch are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Holch trying to control the position but Stifler is working away. Holch misses with an attempted head punch from side control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Holch working the ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dom Holch dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Holch walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Holch drives through with a takedown into guard. Holch controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Stifler keeping full guard, as Holch tries to pass. Holch sitting in guard here, content to control. Stifler is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Stifler keeping moving, preventing Holch from controlling successfully. Holch stops Stifler from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holch controlling from the top position. Holch throwing strikes but missing. Holch thows a big elbow that misses.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Holch slips under a jab from Stifler. Holch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Holch scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Stifler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holch missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nice strikes from Holch there. Stifler is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Holch wants to take a breather but Stifler is having none of it. Stifler wants to get back to his feet. Holch is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stifler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Holch thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Holch lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Holch has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Stifler is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Holch scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stifler is not content to let Holch control the position. Holch is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Holch sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stifler defending well though. Dom Holch has got the better of the ground game so far. Stifler looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Holch is looking to take a break and control but Stifler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Holch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stifler throws a combination that misses and Holch counters with a left to the body. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Holch crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Stifler - the referee stops the clock and Holch gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Stifler. Holch manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Holch pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice defenses there by Holch. Stifler misses with a jab to the body
and Holch counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Stifler misses the jab. Stifler tests Holch's chin there with a solid looking shot. Stifler darts in and out, connecting with a jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dom Holch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Dom Holch seems to be getting the better of the standup. Stifler moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Stifler looks to score with a jab to the body but Holch is just out of range. Stifler dips to his left and cracks Holch with an uppercut! Holch bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. A low kick from Stifler is predictable there and Holch counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Stifler is trying to stand up here but Holch is controlling him well. Holch seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Stifler does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Stifler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Holch wants to pass to mount but Stifler is defending the position. Stifler is staying active underneath Holch, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Holch thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Stifler to regain full guard. Stifler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Holch. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Holch's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Holch won't allow Stifler to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Holch is pushing down on Stifler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Stifler is fighting to maintain full guard but Holch has managed to sneak the leg through. Holch is just content to waste time from the top position. Stifler takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Stifler is looking to stand up but Holch isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stifler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Holch. Holch slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Holch trying to control but Stifler is working from the bottom. Stifler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Holch. Holch in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Holch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Steven Stifler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stifler looks to clinch and Holch counters with a takedown into side control. Holch working the head with strikes. Stifler is pushing Holch's head away, looking to escape. Holch manages to hold on to the position though. Holch postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Holch working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Stifler throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! Stifler connects with a looping right hand.
Stifler takes one on the button. Holch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stifler. Holch looks to land a combination. Stifler sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stifler misses with a double jab
and Holch counters with a nice body shot. Holch lands with an overhand left. Holch misses with a looping left. A lazy body kick from Stifler and Holch counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice shot by Holch. Stifler throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Stifler swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A shot to the liver by Holch. Beautiful body shot. Stifler walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Stifler avoids a punch combination nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Holch wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Stifler misses with a kick to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! Dom Holch comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Holch has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
