PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bull Rorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Fuller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bull Rorn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Larry Fuller!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Rorn.
Fuller looks gassed!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rorn gets a takedown into half guard.
Rorn works his way into side control.
Rorn lands a few punches from side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Rorn decides to stand back up. Rorn steps back and let's Fuller get back to his feet.
Rorn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rorn gets a clinch.

Fuller has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Rorn regains guard immediately.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rorn is on top in guard.
Fuller is controlling Rorn's posture.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fuller can't keep his opponent in guard - Rorn advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fuller tries to get to full guard but Rorn has control of the leg.

Rorn decides to return to a standing position.

Fuller closes the distance and pushes Rorn back into the cage.
Fuller is trying to drag Rorn to the mat but Rorn just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rorn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fuller smiles and moves away.

Fuller moves into range and clinches up with Rorn.
Fuller blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Fuller goes for a takedown in the clinch but Rorn prevents it.
Rorn jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fuller walks away with a smile on his face. Rorn gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Rorn counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Rorn using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Fuller has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fuller has hold of one of Rorn's legs. Rorn is fighting the takedown attempt but Fuller gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Rorn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fuller can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fuller wants to control from the top but Rorn keeps moving.

Rorn keeping moving, preventing Fuller from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Fuller pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rorn is keeping the position for now.
Rorn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Fuller is looking to work some ground and pound but Rorn has wrist control.

Fuller postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fuller tries to clinch there but Rorn circles away.

and Rorn counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fuller's guard now.
Fuller is trying to control the position but Rorn postures up.
Fuller tries to land a sweep but no joy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Fuller moves into the clinch successfully.
Rorn fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Fuller tightens his grip and picks Rorn up, before dumping him to the ground. Rorn manages to land in guard.
Rorn keeping moving, preventing Fuller from controlling successfully.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Rorn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Fuller wants the takedown. Rorn is fighting it off but Fuller persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Rorn's guard against the cage.

Fuller is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rorn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
