The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones dips to his left and cracks Velazquez with an uppercut!
Jones connects with a nice looking jab.
Jones feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Velazquez sprawling to the canvas! Velazquez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Jones finish him?!
Velazquez is rocked!
Jones circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Velazquez tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Jones wins by KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alexander Jones! Alexander Jones retains his lightweight title!
