Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bailey Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Gang of Four - I love a Man in Uniform kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bailey Harris had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bailey Harris! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Kane! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kane. Kane throws out a loose jab but Harris uses good head movement to avoid it. Kane scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kane tries to advance to mount but Harris denies him. Harris wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Kane wants to lay and pray for a moment but Harris keeps working. Harris sneaks out the side door and pushes Kane away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Harris wants to stand and escape but Kane is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane sitting in guard, not really doing much. Kane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Harris wants to get back to his feet but Kane is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Harris is looking to stand back up but Kane counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Harris. Kane stops Harris from getting back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Harris staying out of range there. Harris wants to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Harris wriggles free and stands up. Kane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Harris wants to stand but Kane is controlling the position. Harris pushes Kane off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kane looks to land a combination but Harris avoids it well. Harris throws a hook but Kane avoids it easily. Harris has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Harris darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters circling - Harris throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kane looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Harris is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Harris tries a knee to the head but Kane blocks it.
Harris tries to land knees in the clinch but Kane avoids the damage to the body. Kane avoiding damage as Harris throws knees to the body.

Kane tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kane is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Harris gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Harris landing knees to the head.
Kane lands a body shot. Harris tries to land knees in the clinch but Kane avoids the damage to the body. Harris using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kane has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Harris is breathing heavily. Harris misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kane.
Harris unloads a knee to the mid-section. Kane escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Harris misses with a hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane misses with an uppercut. Harris scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kane lands a nice hook to Harris's body. Harris takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kane was well out of range. Poor timing from Harris. Kane ducks under a wild hook from Harris. Kane misses the shot to the body. The crowd cheers as Harris lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kane doesn't seem phased though. Kane moves out of range of the strikes. Harris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kane moves away from the strike by Harris. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Harris swings away with a leg kick that misses. Harris tries to clinch but Kane is having none of it. Bailey Harris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Harris looks to land a left hand but Kane moved out of range nicely. Harris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Kane dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Harris fails to land with a series of punches.
Kane shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Harris's guard. Kane chips away with some ground and pound. Kane looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Kane throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Harris keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Harris wants to stand up but Kane is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Harris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Harris gets caught flat footed, as Kane shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Harris keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane is looking to work some ground and pound but Harris has wrist control. Harris wants to get back to his feet but Kane is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kane wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Kane looking to sit in guard and control but Harris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Harris wanted to stand there but Kane had control of the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Kane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Harris takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kane slips under a jab. Kane uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Harris. Harris thuds his right hand into Kane's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kane steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Harris. Harris cracks Kane with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Harris tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kane swats him away and circles back towards the center. Bailey Harris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kane ducks under a wild hook from Harris. Kane slips a straight right by Harris. Kane digs a good hook to Harris's body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Harris misses with a body kick. Kane slips under a jab from Harris. Harris doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Harris keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A lazy left from Kane finds it's target. Kane takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Harris motions for Kane to come forward. Harris throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Kane showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kane closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kane lands in his opponent's guard. Kane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Harris keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane passes Harris's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kane sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Harris defending well though. Harris pushes Kane off looking to stand but Kane dives back in and keeps control.
Harris is refusing to be controlled, as Kane sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane is working for a kimura but Harris is defending it quite comfortably.
Kane stops Harris from getting back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Harris throws a big shot that misses. Kane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kane stops Harris from standing up. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Harris preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Harris misses with a hook. Kane ducked under it nicely. Kane throws a right and a left that Harris avoids nicely. Harris tries to clinch but Kane is having none of it. Harris misses with a looping left. Harris displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Kane shoots in and bounces Harris off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kane won't allow Harris to get back to his feet. Kane wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

Harris keeping moving, preventing Kane from controlling successfully. Kane stops Harris from standing up. Kane working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Kane is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kane wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.

Harris has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Kane tries to keep control of the position but Harris is staying busy. Kane struggling to land strikes to the head as Harris covers up. Harris looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Kane throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Harris!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kane controlling the position well here. Harris rolled but Kane kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Harris trying to get back to his feet but Kane is in full control for now. Kane is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
