Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jaroslav Svoboda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gus Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Svoboda's entrance music is Giles. A fine choice. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svoboda lands a nice looking kick to the body. Pappas takes a step back to recover.
Svoboda slips under a jab from Pappas.
Pappas tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Svoboda is able to avoid easily.
Svoboda throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pappas's head.
Pappas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Svoboda moves away.

and Svoboda counters with a low kick, right behind Pappas 's knee.

and Svoboda counters with a nice low kick that buckles Pappas's knee momentarily.

and Svoboda counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Pappas is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Pappas throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Svoboda stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Pappas seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Pappas stalling away here and it's allowed Svoboda to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Pappas is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Pappas has gone for a leg lock! Svoboda slips out almost immediately though and dives into Pappas's guard.
Pappas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Svoboda tries to free his leg and advance position but Pappas is retaining full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pappas drops Svoboda with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Svoboda! Pappas dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
