Tatov kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Superunknown. Hayes has chosen Slipknot-Surfaceing as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Hayes! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatov moves away. Hayes dodges the punch combination from Tatov.
Tatov swats away the attempt to clinch by Hayes. Hayes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hayes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tatov moves away. Tatov lands with a good body shot. Hayes throws out a loose jab but Tatov uses good head movement to avoid it. Hayes throws a series of punches but Tatov moves out of range. Tatov gets a takedown into half guard. Tatov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hayes trying to control here.
Hayes is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Tatov jumps into side control! Hayes keeps Tatov under control for a moment. Tatov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hayes has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatov working away. Tatov tries for a kimura but Hayes is defending well. Hayes is trying to control Tatov's posture but Tatov avoids it. Hayes is looking for a sweep. Hayes taking punishment in the form of punches.
Tatov is looking to take a break and control but Hayes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hayes struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatov gets to mount! Hayes was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Tatov scoring with strikes but Hayes is staying in there.
It looks like Billy Hayes has been cut. A nice elbow there by Tatov.
That has opened up Billy Hayes's cut even more. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hayes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hayes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hayes takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The cut above Billy Hayes's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Hayes is desperately trying to improve his position but Tatov has a good base and remains in mount. Hayes tries to lock up and control but Tatov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatov lands a heavy elbow.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Billy Hayes's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
