Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charlie Tribbett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bat Man!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tribbett.

Man shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Tribbett regains full guard. Nicely done.
Man working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Tribbett has momentary wrist control but Man slips an elbow through the middle.
Man trying to control but Tribbett is working from the bottom.

Tribbett had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Man defends it easily.

Tribbett working for a triangle but Man defends it easily.
Man working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tribbett's head.
Man lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Man connects with a couple of short punches.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Man landing with the ground and pound.
Man landing some decent shots from guard.
Man controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Man has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Man's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Man lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Man with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Tribbett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Man controls the pace.
Man loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Man avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tribbett is breathing heavily.
Man wants to control from the top but Tribbett keeps moving.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tribbett keeping full guard, as Man tries to pass.
Man works over Tribbett with some ground and pound from guard.
Man content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Man keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tribbett's head.
Man postures up in Tribbett's guard and throws a big left but Tribbett blocks it.
Man postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Man keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tribbett's head.

Tribbett looking for a guillotine here but Man defends easily.
Man working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tribbett's head.

Man controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Tribbett is trying to control the position but Man postures up.

Tribbett has his foot on Man's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Man works his way back into a safe position though.
Tribbett keeping moving, preventing Man from controlling successfully.
Tribbett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Man makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Man with a nice head shot there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Man trying to control the position from guard on top but Tribbett is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Tribbett shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Man's guard.

Man throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Tribbett escapes and throws Man's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Man tries to buck Tribbett off but Tribbett is having none of it.

Tribbett has hold of Man's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Man tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Tribbett cranks the arm and Man screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Man, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Charlie Tribbett!
