Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Owner Task (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Owner Task enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Owner Task! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Task throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Smith sees it coming and avoids it easily. Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Task pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Smith fails with the takedown. Smith shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Task as he jumps to the side. Task throws a right and a left that both miss. Task cracks Smith with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Task avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Task displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Task tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Task manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Good standup being displayed there by Task as he connects with a hook. Task misses with a looping left. Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Task sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Task looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range. Task tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot. Task misses with an uppercut. Smith saw that one coming. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Smith takes the fight into the clinch. Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Task just stands there and leans against the cage. Task blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Task is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Smith jumps guard.
Task is looking to stand up but Smith won't let him. Smith is breathing heavily. Task wants to stand and escape but instead Smith has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Task is looking to stand back up but Smith counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Task.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Task pushes Smith off looking to stand but Smith dives back in and keeps control.
Smith seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Task does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Task sprawls well. Task wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Task scores with a nice right hand.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nice cross by Task. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Owner Task dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Task lands the left hand. Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Task swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Task throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it. Task connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Smith's hands. Task scores with a jab to the body. Task lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Task ducks under a wild hook from Smith. Paul Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Task fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Task connects with a jab. Task lands a head shot. Task throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Smith gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Task. Task might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Task lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Task throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Smith blocks a jab. Owner Task is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Task swivels and escapes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Smith moves out of range as Task strikes. The fighters circle momentarily. Task darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Smith fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Task scores with a hook. Smith is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A jab lands there for Task. Task scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Smith doesn't seem bothered though. Task throws a combination. Smith tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Task defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Smith. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him. Task keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

The fighters circling - Task throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Smith takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Smith takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Task lands with an overhand left. Task thows a left - swing and a miss! Task throws the left hand but Smith avoids the punch easily. Task swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith slips a jab from Task. Smith bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Task. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Owner Task showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Smith moves into range and clinches up with Task. Smith has Task pressed against the cage, preventing Task from circling away and getting back to striking at range. A frustrated look appears on Task's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Task wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A left lands for Task. Task misses the jab. Task cracks Smith with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Task lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Smith at a distance.
Smith has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Smith there as he acknowledges the shot. Task throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Smith looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Task tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Task but Task pushes him off and we're back to square one. Task tests Smith's chin there with a solid looking shot. Smith walks into a left hand. Task looks to throw the jab but Smith is out of range. Task lands with an overhand left. Task lands with a shot to the body. Task with a nice cross. Task connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Task listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Task connects with a nice looking jab.
Task dips to his left and cracks Smith with an uppercut! Task comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Task stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet. Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Smith looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Task is fending him off so far but Smith persists. Nope, Task circles away and we're back to standing. Task thuds a left hand into Smith's body. Donk. Task catches Smith right on the button with a cross. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Smith walks into a stiff left hand from Task. Task lands with a nice body punch. Paul Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Task moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Owner Task comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Task winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
