Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Queriza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and momo san (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). san has chosen black label as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Queriza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, momo san!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Queriza wants to clinch.
san keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Queriza tries to clinch but san moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Queriza or perhaps it was just good defense by san which made him look bad.
san has his takedown stuffed

and Queriza counters with a nice double leg into side control. san won't be happy with that.

Queriza is looking to take a break and control but san is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

momo san showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Queriza has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. san is working away from the top position though.
san tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Queriza.
san takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
san content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Queriza is trying to stand back up but san is controlling him

Queriza kicks san off and gets back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
san circles away from the clinch attempt
and san counters with a series of strikes. Queriza will be more careful next time no doubt.
san misses with a series of wild punches.

Queriza trying to hold on to san's head to control him but san postures up.
Queriza is controlling san's trapped leg to prevent san from advancing to side control.

momo san comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well san has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
