Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between ROCKO ROCKY (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ROCKO ROCKY has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smalls looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for ROCKY!
ROCKY is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Smalls looking to finish ROCKY with some ground and pound. This is bad for ROCKY!
Smalls cracks ROCKY with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
ROCKY is wriggling around trying to escape.
Smalls takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
ROCKY tries to reverse the position but Smalls maintains control.
Smalls landing strikes, looking to finish!
ROCKY sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
ROCKY trying to control from the bottom.
Smalls wants to control but ROCKY is keeping him busy.
ROCKY is trying to stand back up but Smalls is controlling him
Smalls is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for ROCKY!

Smalls avoids the attempt from ROCKY to control.
Smalls landing strikes, looking to finish!
ROCKY is looking to get to half guard.
Smalls fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Smalls moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, ROCKY has worked his arm free - good work by ROCKY!
Smalls trying to control the position but ROCKY is working away.
Smalls might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control ROCKY kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
ROCKY being controlled for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
ROCKY pushes Smalls away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Smalls gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
ROCKY tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smalls wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
ROCKY manages to work his way to half guard, despite Smalls's best efforts.
Smalls thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed ROCKY's head.
ROCKY really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
ROCKY trying to control but Smalls postures up.
ROCKY is breathing heavily.
ROCKY moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

ROCKY looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Smalls working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Smalls got a little sloppy there for a moment and ROCKY has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smalls has managed to get both his arms back between ROCKY's legs - danger averted.
Smalls controls from within his opponent's guard.
Smalls forces his way into half guard.
Smalls scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ground and pound from Smalls.
Smalls tries to pass to full mount but ROCKY defends it.
Smalls tries to stand but his hand is stuck under ROCKY.
Smalls trying to control from half guard but ROCKY is working away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
ROCKY tries to roll over but Smalls keeps him under control.

Smalls is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so ROCKY is just riding it out for now. Smalls eventually gives up the hold.
ROCKY on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Smalls looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Smalls really doesn't want to stay on the ground with ROCKY. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Smalls feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Smalls wants to control from the top but ROCKY keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kevin Smalls dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Smalls clinches up with ROCKY and pushes him back against the cage.
ROCKY has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Smalls avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Smalls gets underhooks to prevent ROCKY's takedown attempt.

ROCKY is fighting off a takedown attempt but Smalls is just too persistent for him and manages to trip ROCKY to the mat. ROCKY regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Smalls postures up.
ROCKY keeping full guard, as Smalls tries to pass.
ROCKY is trying to keep Smalls in close.

ROCKY is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Smalls rolls with it to try and escape but ROCKY cranks on the arm and Smalls is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
