Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roy Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walker comes to the cage accompanied by Tron. Hardy has chosen Rock the Casbah as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Paul Hardy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Hardy! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walker shoots in for a takedown but Hardy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. No luck with that takedown attempt from Walker. The fight stays on the outside here - Hardy looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Walker shoots in for a double leg but Hardy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roy Walker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hardy throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hardy. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Walker is defended easily by Hardy.

Walker bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hardy can do anything to dispel that myth. Walker cracks Hardy with a big right hand but Hardy just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Walker creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Hardy sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Walker postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Walker throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Hardy works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Walker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Walker looks to land a strike but Hardy avoids it nicely and regains full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Walker throwing strikes but missing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Walker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hardy scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hardy.
Walker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hardy circles away. Hardy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A lazy left from Hardy finds it's target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Hardy dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Danga de danga de dang - Hardy scores with a four punch combination! Hardy wants to clinch up but Walker keeps it at a distance.

Walker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hardy pinned against the cage. Hardy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hardy gets caught flat footed, as Walker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walker throws a strike but Hardy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Walker wants to sweep but no luck. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hardy trying to stand up but can't free himself from Walker's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hardy's guard. Walker postures up in Hardy's guard and throws a big left but Hardy blocks it. Hardy keeping full guard, as Walker tries to pass. Walker in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Walker postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hardy preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Walker with a flurry of punches that miss. Walker is looking to work some ground and pound but Hardy has wrist control. Walker throws a strike but Hardy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Walker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Walker keeping moving, preventing Hardy from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Roy Walker will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Walker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hardy! Walker landing strikes from the mount and Hardy is in trouble! Hardy is looking to get to half guard. Walker throwing strikes but Hardy recovers to half guard. A much better position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Walker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hardy tries to kick Walker off but Walker keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Walker thows a huge punch but Hardy dodges it nicely.
Walker seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Walker scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Walker stops Hardy from getting back to his feet.
