The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAllister leaves Michaels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McAllister moves out of range of the body kick from Michaels.

McAllister is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Michaels's half guard.
McAllister is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
McAllister's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Michaels can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McAllister controls the pace.
McAllister looking to sit in guard and control but Michaels gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Michaels is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McAllister is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McAllister has escaped and now he's on top!

Michaels escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McAllister gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McAllister's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McAllister trying to control but Michaels is working from the bottom.

Michaels has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. McAllister doesn't defend quickly enough and Michaels has managed to lock this one up! Can McAllister escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Michaels on a fantastic submission victory.
