Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Begeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gigantus Boagrius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Begeman comes to the cage accompanied by Watcher. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Begeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gigantus Boagrius!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boagrius slips under a jab from Begeman.
Boagrius lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Begeman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Begeman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Boagrius is in trouble now - Begeman has advanced to mount!
Begeman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Begeman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Boagrius prevents Begeman from taking his back.

Boagrius tries to reverse the position but Begeman maintains control.
Begeman seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Boagrius is holding on tight.
Boagrius working to try and regain half guard.
Begeman throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Begeman goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Boagrius is on top in guard.
Boagrius is looking to work some ground and pound but Begeman has wrist control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Boagrius wants to control from the top but Begeman keeps moving.

Boagrius won't allow Begeman to sweep him here.
Boagrius throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Begeman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boagrius is fighting to break Begeman's control of his arms but Begeman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Boagrius lands a couple of elbows.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Boagrius accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Begeman is trying to control the position but Boagrius postures up.
Boagrius lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Begeman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Begeman keeping moving, preventing Boagrius from controlling successfully.

Begeman avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boagrius trying to control but Begeman is working from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Boagrius waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Begeman.
Begeman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Boagrius as he jumps to the side.
Boagrius avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Boagrius wants to clinch.
Begeman misses with a body kick.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Begeman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boagrius doesn't succeed with the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Boagrius fails to land the takedown.
Begeman goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
James Begeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Begeman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Boagrius was well out of range. Poor timing from Begeman.
Begeman looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Boagrius looks gassed!
Begeman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boagrius walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Boagrius displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Begeman.

Begeman drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Begeman thows a big elbow that misses.
Begeman showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Begeman shoots in for a takedown but Boagrius shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Boagrius is breathing heavily.

and Begeman counters with a takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Begeman is looking to take a break and control but Boagrius is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Begeman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Begeman scores with punches from side control.

Begeman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boagrius, who protects the arm well.
Begeman laying and praying for a moment but Boagrius takes advantage and regains half guard.

Boagrius is staying active underneath Begeman, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Begeman is working for a kimura but Boagrius is defending it quite comfortably.

Boagrius is looking to control Begeman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Boagrius avoid being mounted?

Boagrius is in trouble now - Begeman has advanced to mount!

Boagrius is desperately trying to improve his position but Begeman has a good base and remains in mount.

Begeman is taking a breather. Boagrius says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
James Begeman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Nice defenses there by Begeman.
Boagrius tries to clinch up but Begeman circles away and keeps his distance.
Begeman finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Boagrius throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Begeman sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Boagrius stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Boagrius tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Begeman counters with a takedown into side control.
Begeman staying calm.
Begeman lands an elbow.

Begeman postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Begeman content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of James Begeman.
Horrible takedown by Begeman or perhaps it was just good defense by Boagrius which made him look bad.

Boagrius clinches up against the cage.
Boagrius has had enough of the clinch but Begeman keeps him there for the moment.
Boagrius stops a takedown attempt from Begeman.
Begeman lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Boagrius.
Begeman makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Begeman has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Boagrius is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

The crowd cheers as Begeman lands an impressive looking overhand right. Boagrius doesn't seem phased though.
Boagrius throws the left hand but Begeman avoids the punch easily.

Begeman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Boagrius is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Begeman's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Begeman wants to take a breather but Boagrius is having none of it.

Begeman is looking to take a break and control but Boagrius is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gigantus Boagrius has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Boagrius tries to get to full guard but Begeman has control of the leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boagrius works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Boagrius takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Begeman tries a head kick but it misses.
Begeman takes one on the button.
Boagrius wants to clinch.
Boagrius jabs Begeman right on the nose. Begeman blinks but takes it well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boagrius gets a clinch.
Begeman has Boagrius pressed against the cage, preventing Boagrius from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
James Begeman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boagrius throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Boagrius misses with a punch on the inside.
Boagrius misses with the head strike.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Gigantus Boagrius.
I think Begeman has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
