Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikel Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rodney Pearson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mikel Svensson! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Steven Brown and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pearson clinches up with Svensson and pushes him back against the cage. Pearson has picked Svensson up - he's going for a ride! Pearson dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Svensson is trying to control but can't.
Svensson wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pearson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Svensson gets full guard. Svensson controls Pearson momentarily but Pearson frees himself. Pearson wanted to stand there but Svensson had control of the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Svensson holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pearson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Svensson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Svensson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Pearson darts in and clinches Svensson up against the cage. Pearson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Pearson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Svensson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pearson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Svensson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pearson wanted to stand there but Svensson had control of the position. Pearson postures up.
Svensson keeping moving, preventing Pearson from controlling successfully. Svensson pushes Pearson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Svensson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Svensson wants to pass the guard but Pearson is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Svensson is controlling the pace.
Pearson makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Pearson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Svensson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Svensson wants to control but Pearson postures up. Svensson trying to control but Pearson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Svensson is trying to defend against the choke here but Pearson has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Pearson Tightens the hold and Svensson taps out furiously! Pearson displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Rodney Pearson!
