PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Zoom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tempelton Dick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zoom has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zoom's guard.
Dick with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Zoom keeping full guard, as Dick tries to pass.
Dick is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Dick postures up and lands a big shot to Zoom's brow.
Dick stays in close to Zoom's body and controls the position.

Dick stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Zoom is breathing heavily.
Zoom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dick was well out of range. Poor timing from Zoom.
Dick throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zoom throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dick counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Dick lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Dick.
A right-left combo lands from Dick.

Zoom is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Dick has cracked Zoom with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Dick lands another huge swinging hook and Zoom tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Zoom, before Dick can land any more shots!
