Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Shamrock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcin Najman! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shamrock closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Najman to the mat! Najman manages to get full guard. Najman looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Shamrock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shamrock postures up.
Shamrock is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Najman is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Shamrock is controlling him. Shamrock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Najman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ben Shamrock. Shamrock closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shamrock lands in his opponent's guard. Shamrock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Najman is keeping the position for now. Shamrock is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Najman for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ben Shamrock. Najman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Najman gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Shamrock counters with a nice double leg into side control. Najman won't be happy with that. Najman is trying to escape the position but Shamrock is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Najman is pushing Shamrock's head away, looking to escape. Shamrock manages to hold on to the position though. Najman tries to get back to half guard but can't. Shamrock slows the pace down.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ben Shamrock. Shamrock shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Najman napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Shamrock stalls from top position. Shamrock trying to control the action but Najman is working from the bottom. Najman keeping his opponent close. Shamrock is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Najman has escaped the position, nice work there. Najman trying to remain calm as Shamrock controls from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Shamrock dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Najman wants to clinch but Shamrock slips to the side and Shamrock counters with a shoot takedown. Najman fights it but they end up in guard. Shamrock controls from within his opponent's guard. Najman can't keep his opponent in guard - Shamrock advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Shamrock slows the pace down in half guard. Najman trying to control here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ben Shamrock. Shamrock shoots in and bounces Najman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shamrock controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Najman trying to control the position.
Najman wants to get back to his feet but Shamrock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shamrock drops back looking for a leg! Najman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Najman manages to kick Shamrock off! Shamrock jumps back into Najman's guard. Shamrock is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Shamrock's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Najman trying to keep a closed guard but Shamrock is proving a slippery customer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Shamrock fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Najman sprawls well initially but Shamrock persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Najman wants to get back to his feet. Najman trying to control but Shamrock postures up.
Najman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shamrock pulls his head out easily. Najman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Shamrock is working for a kimura but Najman is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shamrock trying to control the pace. Shamrock seems to be working for a kimura but Najman defends the submission attempt.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Najman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Najman gets caught flat footed, as Shamrock shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Najman is looking to stand up but Shamrock isn't so interested in that idea. Shamrock controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Shamrock dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shamrock. Nice takedown defense from Najman. No joy for Shamrock on that attempt. Shamrock avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Najman is looking to clinch. Najman tries to clinch so Shamrock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Shamrock forces his way into half guard. Shamrock is thwarting Najman's attempts to control the position. Shamrock controlling the pace. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Shamrock's corner is telling him to maintain position. Najman is adopting a defensive guard. Shamrock drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Shamrock as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Najman screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Shamrock! Nice submission victory there!
