Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deiter Myers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Deiter Myers!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers tries to clinch but Emelianenko is having none of it.

and Myers counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Myers lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Myers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Emelianenko's head.

Deiter Myers dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Emelianenko won't allow Myers to pass to mount.
Emelianenko has hold of Myers's hands but Myers slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Myers passes to full mount!
Myers breaks from Emelianenko's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Emelianenko manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Myers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Emelianenko is trying to stand back up but Myers is controlling him
Emelianenko makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Emelianenko.

Emelianenko escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Myers gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Myers content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Myers stands and throws Emelianenko's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Emelianenko takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Myers grinds an elbow into Emelianenko's temple.

Myers has hold of Emelianenko's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Emelianenko seems comfortable defending it but Myers has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Emelianenko is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Emelianenko is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Myers couldn't care less - he's delighted!
