Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Nishimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardly's entrance music is Eminem- Not Afraid. A fine choice. Dan Hardly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dan Hardly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Shinji Nishimura!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardly misses with a wild body shot.
Nishimura takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Nishimura showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Hardly.
Nishimura pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hardly gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nishimura to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Hardly keeping moving, preventing Nishimura from controlling successfully.
Nishimura trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Nishimura postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hardly is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nishimura, into his guard.

Hardly thows a big elbow that misses.
Hardly postures up and lands a big shot to Nishimura's brow.
Hardly working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hardly has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hardly stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Nishimura takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hardly drops Nishimura with a right and a left! Hardly comes rushing in but Nishimura regains his composure and manages to keep Hardly in guard.
Hardly slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hardly wants to pass the guard but Nishimura is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hardly seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Nishimura wants to stand up but Hardly is controlling him.
Hardly working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Hardly throws and elbow that misses. Nishimura uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hardly's guard. Nice move by Nishimura!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A slow jab from Hardly misses its intended target.
Nishimura dives in and grabs Hardly's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hardly pushes down on Nishimura's head and hops out.
Nishimura shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hardly defends it nicely.
A jab lands there for Hardly.
Hardly lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hardly dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shinji Nishimura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nishimura is breathing heavily.
Hardly thows a body kick. Nishimura tries to catch it but that hurt him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nishimura shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Hardly throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hardly cracks Nishimura with an uppercut from hell and Nishimura crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Hardly's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
Nishimura is rocked!
Hardly sitting in guard here, content to control.
Nishimura is still in real trouble! Can Hardly finish him?
Nishimura seems to have recovered his senses.
Hardly slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hardly scoring with punches from side control.
Hardly tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hardly will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hardly tries to score with some ground and pound. Nishimura controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Hardly is looking to take a break and control but Nishimura is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nishimura is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Hardly asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Nishimura is trying to get back to half guard.
Hardly misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hardly is staying tight to Nishimura's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Hardly wants to control for a moment but Nishimura uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
Nishimura wants to get back to his feet.
Hardly perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nishimura pushes Hardly off looking to stand but Hardly dives back in and keeps control.
Hardly thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nishimura on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Hardly dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hardly throws an overhand right that lands on Nishimura's shoulder, as Nishimura tries to avoid the shot.
Hardly closes the distance and clinches.
Hardly lands with a short shot to the head.
Nishimura has Hardly pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Hardly manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Hardly scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Hardly lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Nishimura is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Nishimura misses with a knee to the head.
Nishimura is trying to drag Hardly to the mat but Hardly just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dan Hardly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shinji Nishimura.

Hardly scores with a nice hook to the head.
Hardly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dan Hardly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardly slaps away a takedown attempt from Nishimura, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A nice leg kick lands there from Hardly.
Nishimura takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Hardly throws an overhand right that has Nishimura reeling! Hardly follows up with more punches and Nishimura is out cold! This one is all over!
