Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Browne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Mckenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Browne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, JD Mckenzie!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mckenzie avoids a punch combination nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Browne.

Mckenzie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Browne napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Mckenzie is looking to take a break and control but Browne is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Mckenzie decides to stand back up.
Browne gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Mckenzie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Mckenzie trying to control the position from guard on top but Browne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Browne is breathing heavily.

Mckenzie is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by JD Mckenzie.

Mckenzie drives through and clinches with Browne against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mckenzie has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Browne avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mckenzie tightens his grip and picks Browne up, before dumping him to the ground. Browne manages to land in guard.

Browne is working an open guard so Mckenzie takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Mckenzie clinches with his opponent.
Browne throws a head punch that misses.

Mckenzie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Browne avoids the head kick by Mckenzie.
Mckenzie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Browne's head backwards.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Mckenzie clinches with his opponent.

Mckenzie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mckenzie lands with an uppercut that bounces Browne off the cage and back into rage.

Mckenzie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mckenzie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Mckenzie throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Mckenzie landing strikes from the mount and Browne is in trouble!
Mckenzie tries to control but Browne wriggling away.
Browne blocking the ground and pound.
Mckenzie trying to control but he's not successful this time.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Mckenzie has control of Browne's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Browne regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mckenzie trying to control but Browne is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A nice elbow there by Mckenzie.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mckenzie closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Mckenzie misses with a few strikes there.

Mckenzie rushes Browne and presses him up against the cage.
Nice body punch from Mckenzie - that landed with a thud.
Browne prevents Mckenzie from breaking the clinch.
Mckenzie lands a shoulder strike.
Mckenzie lands with a short shot to the head.
A shot in the inside from Browne.

Browne has Mckenzie pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Browne pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mckenzie tumbling to the mat - Browne dives into Mckenzie's guard.
Browne with a flurry of punches that miss.
Mckenzie seems keen to control Browne's posture.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mckenzie looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
JD Mckenzie has got the better of the ground game so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Browne trying to control the position from guard on top but Mckenzie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by JD Mckenzie.

Mckenzie gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Browne has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mckenzie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mckenzie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Browne doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mckenzie counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mckenzie gets a takedown into half guard.

Mckenzie decides to stand and escape the position.
Mckenzie scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Mckenzie uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Browne has time to react.
Browne shoots and misses

and Mckenzie counters with a single leg into guard. Browne didn't expect that.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Simon Browne. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Mckenzie stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Browne is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mckenzie scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mckenzie is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Mckenzie escapes and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Browne misses with a double jab

and Mckenzie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Browne won't be happy with that.

Mckenzie decides to stand back up.

Mckenzie shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mckenzie showed some decent athleticism there.

Mckenzie postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Browne to stand up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Browne showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mckenzie.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

JD Mckenzie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mckenzie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Browne circles away quickly and effectively.
Browne has his takedown stuffed

Browne keeping moving, preventing Mckenzie from controlling successfully.

Mckenzie gets to his feet. Browne looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Mckenzie is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Browne's half guard.
Mckenzie is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Mckenzie lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Mckenzie is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Mckenzie looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mckenzie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Browne does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Mckenzie in particular looking to stall.
Mckenzie looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Browne with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Mckenzie stands up and beckons Browne to join him on the feet.
Mckenzie lands a right hook to the body.
Mckenzie throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Mckenzie has Browne up against the cage in a clinch.

Mckenzie is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Browne can't fight it off and eventually Mckenzie manages to take the fight to the floor. Browne looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mckenzie wants to pass the guard but Browne is keeping the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
JD Mckenzie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mckenzie has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
