Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tysen Fricke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Jarvis! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fricke shoots in but Jarvis avoids the takedown attempt easily. Jarvis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Fricke's guard. Jarvis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Jarvis preventing the sweep. Jarvis is looking to work some ground and pound but Fricke has wrist control. Jarvis lands a couple of digs. Jarvis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Fricke wants to get back to his feet but Jarvis is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Jarvis chips away with some ground and pound. Jarvis throwing strikes from guard but Fricke blocks nicely. Jarvis prevents Fricke from getting back to his feet.

Jarvis takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Jarvis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jarvis drops an elbow to the side of Fricke's head. Fricke wants to get back to his feet. Jarvis prevents Fricke from improving his position. Jarvis is nestled in close to Fricke, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Jarvis controlling the pace. Jarvis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fricke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jarvis. Fricke wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jarvis lands strikes from half guard. Fricke on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fricke is looking for a sweep. Jarvis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fricke trying to control but Jarvis postures up.
Jarvis is looking to advance position but Fricke won't allow it. Jarvis looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jarvis prevents Fricke from standing back up.
Fricke is breathing heavily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jarvis. Fricke is trying to buck Jarvis off. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jarvis cracks Fricke with a big elbow. Jarvis advances to full mount. Fricke's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Jarvis landing strikes from the mount and Fricke is in trouble! Jarvis looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Fricke squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fricke is squirming around, avoiding Jarvis's attempts to control the action. Jarvis wants to finish this one by submission but Fricke is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Jarvis. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Jarvis dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fricke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jarvis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fricke's guard now. Fricke trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Fricke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jarvis is controlling him. Jarvis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Fricke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jarvis is controlling him. Jarvis sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fricke's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jarvis prevents Fricke from standing back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fricke gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jarvis counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jarvis in side control lands a decent elbow. Johnny Jarvis has got the better of the ground game so far. Jarvis works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Jarvis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jarvis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jarvis has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Fricke! Jarvis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. BOOM! Jarvis connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jarvis lands a heavy elbow. Fricke tries to hold on but Jarvis postures up. Fricke is squirming around, avoiding Jarvis's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jarvis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Jarvis working for a submission but Fricke is keeping him at bay. Fricke tries to hold on but Jarvis pushes him away. Jarvis with shots to the head and body - Fricke looks very uncomfortable down there. Fricke tries to hold on but Jarvis postures up. Fricke really wants to buck Jarvis off and get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jarvis is landing with some decent strikes but Fricke is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jarvis raining down shots from the mount! Fricke is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Jarvis looking to finish Fricke with some ground and pound. This is bad for Fricke! Jarvis putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Jarvis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jarvis won't let Fricke get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Jarvis controlling the pace for now. Jarvis scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Fricke?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. You get the feeling that Fricke really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jarvis looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jarvis with the ground and pound from mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jarvis lands a nice shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny Jarvis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Jarvis throws a nice looking combination but Fricke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Johnny Jarvis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jarvis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fricke sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jarvis somewhat. Fricke misses with a takedown and Jarvis counters with a single leg into guard. Fricke didn't expect that. Fricke is looking to stand up but Jarvis isn't so interested in that idea. Fricke not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jarvis tries to free his leg and advance position but Fricke is retaining full guard. Jarvis with a flurry of punches that miss. Jarvis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Fricke's head. Fricke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jarvis passes Fricke's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Jarvis has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Jarvis works his way into side control. Fricke is pushing Jarvis's head away, looking to escape. Jarvis manages to hold on to the position though. Jarvis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Fricke is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Johnny Jarvis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jarvis is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Fricke's shoulder. That is not cool. Tysen Fricke has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Fricke can't do much from the bottom here.
And that's the end of the fight! Johnny Jarvis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Jarvis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
