Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Valhala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pancho Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villa has chosen Guerrilla Radio as his entrance music. Pancho Villa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Valhala!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pancho Villa!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Villa throws a one two combo.
Villa's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Villa duly obliges.
Villa is looking to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Valhala. Villa does a little dance to reset his feet.
Valhala fails with a takedown attempt.
Valhala takes a swing at Villa's ribcage but misses.
Nice shot by Villa.

Villa has managed to clinch.
Villa tries to break the clinch but Valhala is controlling the position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Valhala as Villa tries to tie him up.
Villa tries to pull guard but Valhala holds him up against the cage and eventually Villa drops back down to his feet.
Valhala's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A frustrated look appears on Villa's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Valhala is pressed up against the cage. Villa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Valhala down to the mat. Valhala avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Villa fails with a takedown attempt.
Jake Valhala has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pancho Villa.
Valhala misses with a double jab.
Valhala throws a right hand that Villa ducks under and follows up with a left that Villa also avoids with ease.

Villa gets caught flat footed, as Valhala shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Valhala lands a couple of elbows.
Valhala postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Valhala won't allow Villa to get back to his feet.
Valhala won't allow Villa to sweep him here.
Villa wants to stand up but Valhala is controlling him.
Villa looks gassed!
Valhala scoring with some ground and pound.
Valhala with a nice head shot there.
Valhala in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Valhala postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Valhala has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Valhala is in close to Villa's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Valhala postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Villa can do anything to dispel that myth.
Valhala scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Valhala stands up over Villa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Valhala works over Villa with some ground and pound from guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Villa looking for a sweep. Not yet Villa, not yet.
Villa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Valhala with a flurry of punches that miss.
Villa wants to stand but Valhala is controlling the position.
Valhala stands up over Villa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Valhala thows a big elbow that misses.
Valhala working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Valhala shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Valhala was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Valhala is landing with some decent strikes but Villa is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Villa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valhala. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Valhala is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Villa can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Valhala cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Villa is rocked!
Valhala postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Villa badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Valhala around the waist but Valhala pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Valhala is the winner by TKO! Valhala jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Valhala!
