Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Blachovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rohaldo Roguera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Blachovich might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallica - Enter Sandman. Roguera is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Meshuggag - Bleed. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blachovich drives through and clinches with Roguera against the cage.

Blachovich breaks from the clinch.
Blachovich throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Some wild striking there from Blachovich.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blachovich. Roguera does a little dance to reset his feet.
Blachovich tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Roguera has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Roguera there as he acknowledges the shot.
Roguera closes this distance looking for a takedown but Blachovich circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

John Blachovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rohaldo Roguera.

Blachovich has taken the fight to the clinch.

Blachovich gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Roguera wants a takedown but no success here.

Blachovich gets control of Roguera's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blachovich will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Blachovich is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Roguera defends well.

Blachovich has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Roguera off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Blachovich connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Roguera.

A head kick from Blachovich lands but Roguera takes it in his stride.
Blachovich is looking to clinch but Roguera is avoiding it.
Roguera takes a body punch but keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blachovich throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Blachovich tries to clinch up but Roguera circles away and keeps his distance.
Blachovich moves in looking to clinch but Roguera pushes him off.
Blachovich lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Roguera backs up against the cage.
Blachovich lands a head kick!
Roguera takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Blachovich throws a right and a left that both miss.
Roguera swats away the attempt to clinch by Blachovich.
Roguera is trying desperately to land a takedown but Blachovich is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Roguera.

Blachovich throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Roguera.
John Blachovich seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blachovich tries to clinch up.
Blachovich tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Roguera paws at him with a jab and circles away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Blachovich looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Roguera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blachovich tries to avoid it but Roguera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blachovich to the ground. Blachovich escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Blachovich pulls Roguera into guard.

Blachovich pushes a forearm under Roguera's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Roguera is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
