Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurt Vonnegut!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNasty shoots in and drives through. Vonnegut sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Vonnegut. No joy for McNasty on that attempt.

McNasty clinches with his opponent.
Vonnegut has had enough of the clinch but McNasty keeps him there for the moment.
McNasty prevents Vonnegut from breaking the clinch.
Vonnegut tries to break the clinch but McNasty is controlling the position.
Vonnegut with an attempt at a knee that misses.
McNasty lands a body shot in the clinch.
Vonnegut misses with a knee to the head.
Vonnegut should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Vonnegut is pressed up against the cage. McNasty has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Vonnegut down to the mat. Vonnegut avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave McNasty. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McNasty tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vonnegut swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Vonnegut throws a series of punches but McNasty moves out of range.
McNasty shoots for a double leg takedown but Vonnegut sprawls well. He's pushed McNasty's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Vonnegut cracks the inside of McNasty's front leg.
Kurt Vonnegut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vonnegut keeps the fight on the outside.

McNasty scores with a takedown into Vonnegut's guard.
McNasty throws a strike but Vonnegut rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McNasty pulls Vonnegut in close to prevent any damage.
McNasty tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McNasty has control of Vonnegut's left arm, preventing Vonnegut from doing any damage.

McNasty has his foot on Vonnegut's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vonnegut works his way back into a safe position though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McNasty seems keen to control Vonnegut's posture.
Vonnegut is looking to stand up but McNasty won't let him.

McNasty's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Vonnegut won't allow McNasty to get back to his feet.

McNasty has control of Vonnegut's left arm, preventing Vonnegut from doing any damage.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Dave McNasty just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

McNasty closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Vonnegut wants to get back to striking at distance but McNasty won't allow it.
McNasty can't break the clinch.

A punch combination from Vonnegut misses.
Vonnegut has a takedown stuffed.
Vonnegut lands a nice looking kick to the body. McNasty takes a step back to recover.
A nice leg kick lands there from Vonnegut.
Horrible takedown by Vonnegut or perhaps it was just good defense by McNasty which made him look bad.
Vonnegut stuffs the takedown attempt from McNasty. McNasty gets slowly back to his feet.
Vonnegut shoots in and drives through. McNasty sprawls well.
Vonnegut lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Vonnegut lands a jab-cross combination.
McNasty shoots in but no luck this time.
No luck for Vonnegut with that takedown attempt.
McNasty catches Vonnegut napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Vonnegut to the canvas!


Vonnegut is rocked!


It looks like Kurt Vonnegut has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Vonnegut is working an open guard so McNasty takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Vonnegut is still on wobbly legs! Can McNasty finish him?
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A big right followed by a crushing left from McNasty knocks Vonnegut out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dave McNasty!
