Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jan Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Celivaldo Varejao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Celivaldo Varejao will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jan Nowak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Celivaldo Varejao! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nowak circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nowak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Varejao tries to clinch but Nowak moves away and Nowak counters with a low kick, right behind Varejao 's knee. Varejao stalks Nowak and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nowak's face. Nowak staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Jan Nowak has been cut. Nowak closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Nowak looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Varejao is avoiding damage well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nowak trying to control the action but Varejao is working from the bottom. Nowak stands up. Nowak circles away from the clinch attempt and Nowak counters with a nice double leg into side control. Varejao won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nowak landing strikes. Varejao can't do much from the bottom here. Varejao is looking to regain half guard here but Nowak keeps moving and retains side control. Nowak remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Varejao tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Nowak tries to move to mount but Varejao blocks the move with his legs. Varejao wants to control but Nowak postures up. Nowak has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Varejao clinches but Nowak breaks the clinch and Nowak counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nowak. Nowak looking for a takedown. Varejao wants to break free but Nowak has control.
Nowak tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jan Nowak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Varejao gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nowak.
Nowak is breathing heavily. Varejao lands a nice shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nowak can't get the takedown.
Nowak jumps guard but Varejao stands there with Nowak around his waist. Nowak gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Varejao is stalling here.
Nowak is trying to force a seperation but Varejao has the dominant position. Varejao works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Varejao is looking to control Nowak's arms but Nowak gets an underhook and turns him. Now Varejao has his back to the cage. Varejao lands a nice shot to the body. Varejao throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Varejao works on Nowak's body with a couple of short punches. Varejao is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Varejao makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Varejao stalling the fight.

Varejao pushes Nowak back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Still in the clinch, Varejao scores with a nice short uppercut. Varejao looking to slow down the pace here. Nowak has Varejao pressed against the cage, preventing Varejao from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Varejao content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Varejao lands a shoulder strike. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Varejao wants to break free but Nowak has control.
Varejao has had enough of the clinch but Nowak keeps him there for the moment. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Nowak has Varejao pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Varejao manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Nowak dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jan Nowak's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Varejao tries to clinch up and Nowak counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Varejao's guard now. Nowak trying to control but Varejao is working from the bottom. Varejao looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Nowak is defending well. Varejao quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Nowak has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Varejao celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Celivaldo Varejao!
