Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gidian Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone has chosen Overcome by All that Remains as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone throws a looping overhand right but Corleone ducks down to avoid it.
Corleone shoots in for a takedown but Stone shows good takedown defense.
Corleone slips a jab from Stone.
Corleone shoots in and bounces Stone off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Stone keeping moving, preventing Corleone from controlling successfully.
Corleone drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Stone dives on top into guard.

Corleone pulls Stone in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Corleone drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stone manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Corleone has Stone in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

and Corleone counters with a right hand to the body.
Stone throws a hook to the side of Corleone's head but Corleone sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gidian Stone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

and Corleone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stone's guard.

Corleone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stone has escaped the position, nice work there.
Corleone tries to advance to mount but Stone denies him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Stone works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Corleone throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Gidian Stone has been cut.
Corleone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stone defends it nicely.

Corleone shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Corleone keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stone looks to throw the jab but Corleone is out of range.
Stone drops Corleone with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Corleone! Stone dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
