PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Al Bundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seyren Windsor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bundy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Love & Marriage. Al Bundy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Seyren Windsor's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Bundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seyren Windsor!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Windsor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Windsor wants to control but Bundy is keeping him busy.
Bundy is trying to maintain the position but Windsor is very close to passing his half guard.

Bundy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Windsor is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are battling for position here. Bundy manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bundy wants to sweep here but Windsor controlling him for the moment.
Windsor stands and throws Bundy's legs to the side, diving into side control.

A lull in the action here as Windsor stalls from top position.

Windsor tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Windsor has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bundy tries to bench press Windsor off him but Windsor keeps the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bundy stops Windsor from passing to mount.
Bundy is looking for a sweep.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Windsor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Bundy.
Windsor checks a leg kick.
Bundy fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Windsor on the side of the head.
Bundy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Windsor shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bundy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Bundy has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Windsor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bundy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bundy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Windsor gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Windsor won't allow Bundy to sweep him here.
Bundy is breathing heavily.

Bundy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Windsor doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Windsor manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Windsor tries to free his leg and advance position but Bundy is retaining full guard.
Windsor is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Windsor wants to control from the top but Bundy keeps moving.

Bundy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Windsor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bundy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Windsor's guard.

Bundy drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bundy jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Al Bundy will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Bundy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bundy wants to pass to mount but Windsor is defending the position.

Bundy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bundy is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Windsor!

Bundy trying to control but he's not successful this time.
You get the feeling that Windsor really doesn't like being in this position too much.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bundy looking to isolate an arm here. Windsor doesn't see it coming and as Bundy extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Bundy!
