Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trick Panoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wang Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Trick Panoz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wang Chi! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Panoz swats away the attempt to clinch by Chi. Chi goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Horrible takedown by Chi or perhaps it was just good defense by Panoz which made him look bad. Chi moves in looking to clinch but Panoz pushes him off. Panoz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chi pinned against the cage. Chi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Chi tries to clinch but Panoz moves out of range. Panoz looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Panoz stops Chi from standing up. Panoz controls from within his opponent's guard. Chi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panoz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Chi keeping moving, preventing Panoz from controlling successfully. Chi wants to get back to his feet but Panoz is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Chi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Panoz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chi pushes Panoz off and scrambles back to his feet.
Chi looks gassed! Panoz jabs at Chi's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Panoz tries a head kick but it misses.
Panoz tries to clinch but fails miserably and Chi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Panoz fails to pull guard.
Panoz tries for a takedown but Chi manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trick Panoz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Panoz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Chi lands a hook to the side of the head. Panoz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Chi smiles and moves away.
Panoz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Chi counters with a nice uppercut. Chi clinches up with Panoz and pushes him back against the cage. Chi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Panoz has his takedown stuffed and Chi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Panoz thinking. Panoz has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Panoz scores with a one two! Chi had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Panoz shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Panoz showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panoz slows the pace down in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Panoz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chi for as long as he can get away with. Chi pushes Panoz off but Panoz dives into side control.
Panoz decides to stand back up. Panoz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chi tries to clinch there but Panoz circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Chi wants to stand up but Panoz is controlling the position.
Panoz tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Chi wants to stand but Panoz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Chi has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Panoz works to full guard. Panoz trying to control the position.
Panoz looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Trick Panoz will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Chi. Panoz has his takedown stuffed and Chi counters by clinching up. Panoz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Panoz is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Chi wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Panoz tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trick Panoz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chi gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chi lands a body shot in the clinch.
Panoz jumps guard but Chi stands there with Panoz around his waist. Panoz gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chi using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Chi has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Panoz is trying to keep an underhook but Chi manages to get the takedown into half guard. Panoz works his way to full guard. Good work. Chi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Panoz is working an open guard so Chi takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panoz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Chi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Panoz! Panoz is trying desperately to improve position. Panoz sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Chi escapes and gets back to his feet. Chi tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Panoz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chi won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chi is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Panoz asserts his dominance and retains side control. Chi gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Panoz is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Chi has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Chi! Chi wants to stand but Panoz is controlling his posture from full guard. Panoz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Panoz trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Panoz looking to control.
Chi wants to stand but Panoz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Panoz wants to sweep here but Chi controlling him for the moment. Panoz wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Panoz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Chi! Panoz controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Panoz is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Chi can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Chi's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Chi is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Chi is squirming around, avoiding Panoz's attempts to control the action. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Panoz controlling his opponent. Chi bucks up and throws Panoz to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wang Chi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Panoz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Chi tries to clinch up. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Panoz crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chi - the referee stops the clock and Panoz gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chi. Panoz manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Panoz works the jab nicely. Chi tries to clinch up but Panoz circles away and keeps his distance. Panoz scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Chi is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Chi takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Chi wants to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Panoz is looking to take a break and control but Chi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Chi sneaks out the side door and pushes Panoz away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Chi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Chi doesn't succeed with the takedown and Panoz counters with a nice uppercut. Chi misses with a hook. Chi doesn't manage to clinch there - Panoz circles away.
Chi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Panoz, pushing him back against the cage. Chi connects with a nasty looking knee right to Panoz's face.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Chi circles away from the clinch attempt and Chi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Chi decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Panoz tries to clinch and Chi counters with a three punch combo that has Panoz backing up. Panoz nods at Chi to acknowledge the strikes. Chi feints and as Panoz raises his hands in defense, Chi changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Panoz looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Chi tries to stand but Panoz is controlling from the bottom. Panoz pulls Chi in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chi stands up from guard. Let's bang! Panoz has his takedown stuffed and Chi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Panoz trying to control but Chi postures up.

Panoz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chi is working away from the top position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chi wants to stand up but Panoz has a hold of him and won't allow it. The fighters are battling for position here. Panoz manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Chi wants to stand and escape but instead Panoz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Panoz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Panoz postures up in Chi's guard and throws a big left but Chi blocks it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Panoz stops Chi from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! Wang Chi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Chi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
