The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardan leaves dos Nikkos with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Gardan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gardan wants it to stay on the feet.
Gardan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but dos Nikkos manages to avoid it.
dos Nikkos tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gardan swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio dos Nikkos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gardan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. dos Nikkos sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Good leg kick by Gardan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
dos Nikkos is breathing heavily.

dos Nikkos takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gardan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Gardan tries a head kick but it misses.
Gardan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
dos Nikkos walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gardan throws a sloppy head kick and dos Nikkos moves out of range easily.
Gardan lands a big head kick that sends dos Nikkos tumbling to the mat! Gardan takes a step backwards and waves dos Nikkos back to his feet - he wants the finish!
dos Nikkos is rocked!

and Gardan counters with a right hand from hell and dos Nikkos is out cold! A vicious knockout!
