Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Randy Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinto Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Shinto Rage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rage ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Rage shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Marsh listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Marsh misses with a takedown

and Rage counters with a shoot takedown. Marsh fights it but they end up in guard.
Rage throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Marsh holds on and takes a little breather.
Rage lands a couple of digs.
Rage trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Rage is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rage is looking to work some ground and pound but Marsh has wrist control.

Rage drops back, looking for a kneebar! Marsh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Marsh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Marsh!

Marsh stands up.

Rage gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Marsh shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rage defends it nicely.
Marsh looks to land a right hand but Rage moved out of range.
Marsh scores with a jab to the head.
Rage throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Randy Marsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Marsh decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rage's guard.

Rage working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Marsh has passed into half guard!
Rage wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Marsh decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Marsh misses the target.
Marsh shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rage sprawls well. Rage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Marsh gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Marsh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Marsh doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rage counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Marsh is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rage tries to free his leg and advance position but Marsh is retaining full guard.
Rage throwing strikes from guard but Marsh blocks nicely.
Rage passes Marsh's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Rage not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rage throwing shots but Marsh is blocking nicely.
Rage working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Rage works his way into side control.
Marsh parries the strikes from Rage easily there. Rage is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Marsh to escape.
Rage in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
The strikes coming from Rage are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Rage working the strikes but Marsh uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Marsh is controlling Rage's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Rage throws a strike but Marsh avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Rage loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rage in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Rage makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Rage with a flurry of punches that miss.

Rage is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Marsh is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Marsh has escaped and now he's on top!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marsh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Shinto Rage will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Marsh scores with a jab.
Marsh moves in looking to clinch but Rage pushes him off.
Rage rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marsh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Marsh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Rage counters with a nice double leg into side control. Marsh won't be happy with that.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rage lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Marsh gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Rage throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Rage wants to advance to full mount but Marsh doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Rage has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Rage postures up in Marsh's guard and throws a big left but Marsh blocks it.
Marsh has his hands on Rage's head, controlling the position.
Rage throws a strike but Marsh rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Marsh is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rage manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Marsh blocking the ground and pound.
Rage scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Marsh?
Shinto Rage has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rage throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Marsh because Rage loaded up on that one.

Rage has isolated one of Marsh's arms. Marsh looking to fight him off but Rage twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shinto Rage!
