Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jin Matzu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jericho Jeco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Matzu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jericho Jeco! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jeco tries to close the distance and clinch but Matzu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. An inside leg kick from Jeco misses. Jeco has a takedown stuffed. Jeco is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Matzu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Jeco throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Matzu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jeco digs a good hook to Matzu's body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jeco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Matzu counters by moving into the clinch. Jeco working hard to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jeco has had enough of the clinch but Matzu keeps him there for the moment. Matzu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Matzu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jeco sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Matzu lands with a kick to the temple. Jeco shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Matzu moves into the clinch. Matzu lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Jeco has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. A battle for position here, against the cage. Matzu breaks the clinch.
Matzu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jeco. Jin Matzu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jericho Jeco. Matzu shoots for a double leg takedown but Jeco sprawls well. He's pushed Matzu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jeco looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Jeco fails to land with a series of punches.
A combination from Jeco does no damage. Jeco misses with a takedown attempt - Matzu sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Matzu clinches up with Jeco and pushes him back against the cage. Jeco tries for a takedown. No joy.
Matzu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jeco blocks it with crossed arms. A frustrated look appears on Jeco's face as he tries to break the clinch. Jeco looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Matzu as Jeco tries to tie him up. Jeco looks gassed! Matzu goes for a takedown attempt but Jeco pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jeco tries to clinch up and Matzu holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Jeco takes an elbow to the temple. Matzu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jericho Jeco seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Matzu throws a head kick but Jeco moves out of range.
Matzu has closed the distance and engaged Jeco in a clinch.
Matzu has Jeco pressed against the cage, preventing Jeco from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jeco tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Matzu just stands there and leans against the cage. Matzu is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Matzu lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jeco backwards. Matzu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jeco darts in trying to clinch and Matzu counters with a nice body kick. Matzu clinches up against the cage. Jeco trying to land knees to the body.
Matzu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jeco clinches but Matzu breaks the clinch and Matzu counters by clinching up. Matzu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A telegraphed right hand from Jeco misses the target. Matzu clinches up with Jeco and pushes him back against the cage. Matzu is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jin Matzu dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Matzu tries a head kick but it misses.
Matzu shoots in and drives through. Jeco sprawls well. Jeco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jeco tries to keep at a distance but Matzu has taken the fight into the clinch. Jeco wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Matzu breaks from the clinch.

Jeco misses with a takedown and Matzu counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jeco tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Matzu's elbow. Jeco tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Matzu smiles and moves away.
Jeco closes the distance but Matzu moves to the side and Matzu counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jeco is breathing heavily. Jeco is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matzu scores with a hook to the body. Jeco tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Matzu just stands there and leans against the cage. Matzu successfully pulls guard.
Jeco trying to control but Matzu is working from the bottom. Matzu on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Matzu tries to get out of the position. Matzu wants to get back to his feet but Jeco is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jeco throwing strikes but missing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jeco avoids the head kick by Matzu.
Jeco takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Jeco slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Matzu throws a head kick but Jeco moves out of range.
Jeco looks for a takedown but Matzu sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Matzu rushes Jeco and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Matzu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jeco goes for a takedown in the clinch but Matzu prevents it.
Matzu has Jeco pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jeco manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jeco tightens his grip and picks Matzu up, before dumping him to the ground. Matzu manages to land in guard. Jeco stops Matzu from standing up. Matzu avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Jeco wants to control from the top but Matzu keeps moving. Matzu wants to stand and escape but Jeco is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jin Matzu dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Matzu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jin Matzu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jeco has his takedown stuffed and Matzu counters with a flying knee. Nice. Matzu throws a head kick that Jeco semi-blocks.
Jeco throws a series of punches but Matzu avoids them all with ease. Jeco takes a kick to the side of the head. Jeco missing with a left hand there. Matzu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Matzu throws a nice inside leg kick. Jeco throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matzu's waist but Matzu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jeco off to one side. Matzu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Matzu wants it to stay on the feet. Jin Matzu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jericho Jeco. Jeco takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Matzu forces Jeco back against the cage and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matzu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jeco lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Matzu circles away quickly and effectively. Matzu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Matzu connects with a high kick. Matzu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jeco shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matzu pinned against the cage. Matzu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Matzu lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick from Matzu lands but Jeco takes it in his stride. Matzu lands a high kick!
Matzu rushes Jeco and presses him up against the cage. Jeco is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Matzu drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jeco jumps guard but Matzu stands there with Jeco around his waist. Jeco gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Matzu breaks from the clinch.
Matzu lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Matzu lands with a kick to the temple. Jeco shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Matzu rushes Jeco and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jeco jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Matzu walks away with a smile on his face. Jeco gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Matzu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jeco has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Matzu avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Matzu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Matzu drives through and clinches with Jeco against the cage.
Matzu drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jeco gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Matzu lands a nice elbow. Jeco changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matzu fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Matzu pushes Jeco up against the cage in a clinch. Matzu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jeco misses with the body kick and Matzu counters by moving into the clinch. Matzu has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jeco is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Jeco misses with a short punch on the inside. Matzu tries to pull guard but Jeco holds him up against the cage and eventually Matzu drops back down to his feet.

Jeco tries a body shot but Matzu blocks it.
Jericho Jeco has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jin Matzu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Matzu pulls guard effortlessly.
And that's the end of the fight! Jin Matzu showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Matzu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
