The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stalin has a takedown stuffed. Daedalus lands with a hook. Stalin tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Stalin shoots for a takedown but Daedalus saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Daedalus tries to clinch there but Stalin circles away.
Daedalus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Daedalus wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joseph Stalin. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stalin is defended easily by Daedalus. A big left from Daedalus misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Daedalus. Stalin does a little dance to reset his feet. Daedalus shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Daedalus showed some decent athleticism there. Daedalus swings around for an armbar but Stalin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Daedalus's guard. Daedalus keeping moving, preventing Stalin from controlling successfully. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Joseph Stalin. Daedalus swings for the body but Stalin moves out of range.
Daedalus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stalin's guard. Daedalus postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daedalus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Stalin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Daedalus. Daedalus with a flurry of punches that miss. Quintus Daedalus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Daedalus looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Stalin is avoiding damage well.
Stalin parries the strikes from Daedalus easily there. Daedalus is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Stalin to escape.
Quintus Daedalus has got the better of the ground game so far. Daedalus throws a strike aimed at the side of Stalin's head but Stalin avoids it well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Daedalus tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stalin was well out of range. Poor timing from Daedalus. Daedalus just misses with a punch to the body.
Daedalus throws a jab but it's blocked by Stalin. Daedalus connects with a single shot there. Daedalus will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Daedalus changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stalin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Joseph Stalin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Quintus Daedalus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Daedalus trying to control the position but Stalin is working away.
And that's the end of the fight! Quintus Daedalus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Daedalus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
