Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andy Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Arez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pain has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Pain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jared Arez! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Pain is breathing heavily. Arez staying calm. Arez connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pain some visible discomfort.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. I looks like Arez might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arez lands an elbow. Arez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pain, who protects the arm well. Arez controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Arez lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Arez stands up and beckons Pain to his feet. Arez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Arez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Arez controls the position from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jared Arez. Pain stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Pain wants it to stay on the feet. Arez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pain pinned against the cage. Pain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Arez lands the left hand. Arez throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pain. Arez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Arez working over Pain with some ground and pound. Pain looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pain looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Arez controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jared Arez dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nice takedown defense from Pain. No joy for Arez on that attempt. Arez moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Arez shoots in and drives through. Pain sprawls well. Arez lands with a kick to the temple. Pain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Arez scores with a takedown into Pain's guard. Arez stands up and waves to Pain to follow him. Andy Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Arez has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pain regains guard immediately. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Arez is sitting in close to Pain's body. Pain has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Arez is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Arez is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pain.
