Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leandro Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aesir Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves's entrance music is Damian Marley - Welcome To Jamrock. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leandro Alves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aesir Steel! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alves shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Alves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Steel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Alves gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Steel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Alves is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Alves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Steel utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Alves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Alves throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Steel gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Steel lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Alves! Alves is looking to improve his position but Steel isn't that keen on the idea. Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steel punching from mount but Alves doing a good job of avoiding damage. Steel working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves is in all sorts of trouble here.
Steel is working for a guillotine from mount but Alves frees his head quite easily.

Steel lands a heavy elbow. Alves is working to get back to half guard.
Steel looking to ground and pound but Alves is blocking nicely. Steel has hold of Alves's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alves manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Alves keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Steel is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Alves can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Alves regains half guard. Alves looking for submissions off his back. Alves moves into full guard.
Steel loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Steel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Alves is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Steel defends well. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Steel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alves has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steel has managed to get both his arms back between Alves's legs - danger averted. Alves is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel advances position into side control! Steel is trying to get an arm triangle but Alves is defending well. Alves on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Alves sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Steel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Alves sees it coming and defends easily. Alves looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Alves actively working from the bottom here. Steel winds up and cracks Alves with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Alves moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Alves is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Steel has his hands clasped together but Alves extends an breaks Steel's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Alves.
