Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Jodoin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Bad Company as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith connects with a right hand. Jodoin shakes it off.
Jodoin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Jodoin misses with a two punch combination.
Jodoin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jodoin throws a right hand that Smith ducks under and follows up with a left that Smith also avoids with ease.
Ramon Jodoin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jodoin moves away.

Smith throws a leg kick but Jodoin sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jodoin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jodoin's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Jodoin duly obliges.
Smith connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jodoin's hands.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch but Jodoin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jodoin takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.
Jodoin clinches.

Smith is trying to maintain a safe position but Jodoin gets an underhook and turns Smith into the cage.
Jodoin is looking to break free of the clinch but Smith has double underhooks.

Smith's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Smith gets through Jodoin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Smith is leaning against Jodoin and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Smith digs a right hand into Jodoin's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Jodoin's gas tank.

letting Smith counter with a right hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Smith cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Smith throws a lazy right hand but Jodoin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Jodoin throws a combination that misses
and Smith counters with a nice leg kick.
Smith changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jodoin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jodoin wants to control but Smith postures up.
Jodoin wants to get back to his feet but Smith drags him back down.
Smith tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Jodoin looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Jodoin is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and Jodoin can pop his arm back in it's socket.
