Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Peak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ekenbladh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Ekenbladh looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Peak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Ekenbladh!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Peak looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ground and pound from Peak.


Ekenbladh is rocked!
Ekenbladh tries to get to full guard but Peak has control of the leg.
Ekenbladh is still in real trouble! Can Peak finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peak takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Ekenbladh on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Peak stalling.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peak connects with a nice short shot to Ekenbladh's temple.
Peak drops an elbow to the side of Ekenbladh's head.
Peak has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Peak winds up and cracks Ekenbladh with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Peak scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Ekenbladh has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Peak is working away from the top position though.
Peak is tying to control. Ekenbladh wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ekenbladh has hold of Peak's hands but Peak slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Peak is nestled in close to Ekenbladh, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ekenbladh tries to kick Peak off but Peak keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Peak is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Ekenbladh is looking to escape.
Ekenbladh looks gassed!
Peak scores with a couple of good hammerfists.

Peak moves nicely into side control.
Ekenbladh is trying to buck Peak off.
Peak cracks Ekenbladh with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Ekenbladh taking punishment in the form of punches.

Peak scores with punches from side control.
Peak works to advance to full mount. Ekenbladh defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Peak is landing with some decent strikes but Ekenbladh is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Ekenbladh is trying to escape the mount.
Ekenbladh sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Ekenbladh regains full guard. Nicely done.
Peak makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ekenbladh throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ekenbladh not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Peak won't allow Ekenbladh to get back to his feet.
Peak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ekenbladh swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Peak won't allow Ekenbladh to get back to his feet.
Peak missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Peak avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Ekenbladh shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ekenbladh was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Peak working to try and regain half guard.
Peak manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Peak is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ekenbladh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ekenbladh's back!
Peak is looking to finish with some ground and pound!

Ekenbladh is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Peak gets his way!
Peak throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Ekenbladh!

Peak is landing with strikes from the back.
Peak trying to control momentarily.
Can Ekenbladh hold on?! Peak is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Ekenbladh tries to break free.
Peak throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Ekenbladh!
Peak really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Ekenbladh.
Ekenbladh is taking damage to the body and head.
Peak avoiding Ekenbladh 's attempts to control his hands.
Ekenbladh wants to get back to his feet.
Peak lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Ekenbladh.
Peak scores with punches and elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ekenbladh manages to escape to his feet.
Ekenbladh is looking to clinch but Peak is avoiding it.

Ekenbladh clinches up with Peak and pushes him back against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ekenbladh goes for a takedown attempt but Peak pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Peak is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Ekenbladh is in big trouble! Peak is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Ekenbladh. Poor guy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Mike Peak!
