Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Araujo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geraldo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Arthur Araujo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Geraldo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Araujo has a takedown stuffed.
Araujo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Silva defends it nicely.
Silva is looking to clinch.
Silva uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Araujo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silva's waist but Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Araujo off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arthur Araujo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Arthur Araujo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Araujo tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Araujo sprawling to the canvas. Silva follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Araujo hang on?
Araujo is rocked!
It looks like Arthur Araujo has been cut.
Araujo is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Oh Araujo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Silva wants to stand but Araujo has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Araujo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Araujo.
Araujo seems to have got his legs back now.

Araujo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Araujo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silva lands a right hook to the body.
Silva connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Silva throws a left that rocks Araujo and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Silva dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Araujo regain composure!
Silva looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Araujo is avoiding damage well.
Araujo managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Silva.
Araujo stops Silva from passing to mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Araujo is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Araujo is working hard here to advance position.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Araujo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva wants to stand but Araujo has his arm trapped.
Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Araujo is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Araujo misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Araujo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Silva.
Araujo takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Silva lands with a nice body punch.
Araujo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Araujo somewhat.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Araujo moves out of range easily.
Silva connects with a nice cross there... Araujo is looking wobbly and Silva recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Araujo to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Silva jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
