Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lasse Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giba Negrao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Negrao closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kongo to the mat! Kongo manages to get full guard.
Negrao slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kongo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Negrao manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Negrao looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kongo has picked Negrao up and slammed him! Negrao can't keep hold of the triangle and Kongo manages to pass to side control!

Negrao has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kongo's face.

Negrao is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kongo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kongo!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kongo wants to get up but he can't break Negrao's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Negrao is on top in guard.

Giba Negrao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kongo tries for a takedown but Negrao circles away easily
and Negrao counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Kongo has momentary wrist control but Negrao slips an elbow through the middle.
Kongo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Negrao stacks Kongo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Negrao!
Negrao is putting a hurting on Kongo here, landing some big shots from side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Negrao is looking to take a break and control but Kongo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Let's hope that Negrao has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
