Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Storm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bald Bull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Storm comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Storm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bald Bull!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bull fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Storm throws a hook to the side of Bull's head but Bull sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Storm pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Bull shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Storm manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Storm keeping moving, preventing Bull from controlling successfully.
Storm is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Storm controlling Bull's posture.
Bull throwing strikes but missing.
Bull with a flurry of punches that miss.
Storm has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Bull throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Storm works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A big right from Storm misses.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A swing and a miss from Bull.
Bull throws a shot from downtown. Storm moves away and avoids it.
Storm stuffs the takedown.
A telegraphed right hand from Storm misses the target.
Bull keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bull's corner calls for a 1-2. Bull obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Bull stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bull wants it to stay on the feet.

Bull takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Bull shoots in and bounces Storm off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Bull looking to sit in guard and control but Storm gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bull escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Storm gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Storm trying to control the position from guard on top but Bull is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bull had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Storm defends it easily.
Storm showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Bull tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bull trying to keep a closed guard but Storm is proving a slippery customer.

Bull is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Storm avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bald Bull dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Storm fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Storm swings for the body but Bull moves out of range.
Bull drops his hands momentarily and Storm takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Storm keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

enabling Storm to counter with a crisp jab.

Storm avoids the body shot from Bull.
Storm throws a shot from downtown. Bull moves away and avoids it.
Bull throws a big shot that misses.
Storm fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bull ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Storm throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bull uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Storm.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bull ducks under a wild hook from Storm.
Storm looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Storm tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bull was well out of range. Poor timing from Storm.
Johnny Storm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Storm swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Storm walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bull checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Storm connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Bull momentarily.

Bull lands a jab to Storm's midsection.

Storm gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bull has gone for a leg lock! Storm slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bull's guard.

Bull controls Storm momentarily but Storm frees himself.
Storm wants to control from the top but Bull keeps moving.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

and Storm takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Bull shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Storm's guard.
Storm bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bull's guard.

Storm wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Bull is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Storm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bull swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bull has an active guard here but Storm has managed to pass into half guard.
Bull is staying active underneath Storm, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bull wants to improve his position but Storm is controlling well.
Storm looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bull is trying to maintain the position but Storm is very close to passing his half guard.

Bull working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Storm doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Storm manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Bull takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
