The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott misses with a hook.
Scylla connects with a body shot.

Scylla throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Scott on the side of the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Scylla drops his hands momentarily and Scott takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Scylla rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Scott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Scylla throws a right hand that Scott ducks under and follows up with a left that Scott also avoids with ease.

Scott closes the distance and clinches.
Scott gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Scylla.
Barry Scott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Scylla.

Scott turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Scott manages to end up in side control.
Scylla takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Scylla is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Scott is controlling him well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
