The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Boyka is defended easily by Smith.
Boyka is trying hard to land a takedown here. Smith sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Smith got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boyka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smith has managed to get both his arms back between Boyka's legs - danger averted.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Boyka counters with a good, hard body kick but Smith shrugs it off.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Smith connects with a nice short shot to Boyka's temple.
