Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Janson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into the arena with Street Carp by Deftones blaring out of the sound system. Janson has chosen warren peace raps as his entrance music. Daniel White could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jan Janson's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel White! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jan Janson! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Janson at a distance.
Janson takes a shot right to the bread basket. White just misses with a punch to the body.
Janson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Janson tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Janson somewhat. Janson moves out of range as White strikes. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's one minute gone in the round. White keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
White fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Janson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A left lands for White. White stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and White wants it to stay on the feet. Daniel White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jan Janson. White throws a series of strikes that have Janson backpedaling.
White with a body punch. A glancing blow. White uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Janson has time to react.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Daniel White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Janson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Janson throws the left hand but White avoids the punch easily. Janson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling White to score with a decent uppercut. Janson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from White.
White rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Janson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Janson blocks a leg kick. Janson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. White defends it nicely. Daniel White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Janson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Janson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Janson shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. White misses the shot to the body. White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Janson manages to avoid it. Janson shoots in for a takedown but White shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Janson on that attempt. White swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

White moves out of range of the strikes. No luck with that takedown attempt from Janson. White scores with a body shot.
White is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Janson looks to score with a jab to the body but White is just out of range. White is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Janson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janson won't allow White to sweep him here. White trying to control the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Janson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Janson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Janson postures up in White's guard and throws a big left but White blocks it. Janson scoring with some ground and pound. Janson throwing strikes from guard but White blocks nicely. Janson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. White looking to hit a scissor sweep but Janson is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Janson drops back, looking for a kneebar! White looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. White looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from White! Janson is trying to get back to half guard. Janson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked White off and has taken his back! Janson struggling to land strikes to the head as White covers up. Janson misses with a punch to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Janson trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Janson lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can White hold on?!
Janson throwing damaging strikes from the back! White could be in trouble here!
Janson throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting White!
Janson cracks White with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing White from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Janson tries to keep control of the position but White is staying busy. White wants to escape the position.
Janson has White flattened out and is raining down punches. Janson misses with a punch to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Janson controlling well, preventing White from escaping the position.
Janson not allowing White to control his hands. White wriggles onto his back under a barage of strikes. White wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Janson.
Janson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. White tries to lock up and control but Janson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jan Janson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
White connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A looping hook to the body misses from White. Janson does a little dance to reset his feet. White scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. White lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
White lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. White thuds a left hand into Janson's body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Janson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in White's half guard. White wants to get back to his feet. White keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Janson not landing any meaningful shots this time. White has hold of Janson's hands but Janson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Janson thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.
White wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Janson stalling. Janson prevents White from improving his position. Janson missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Janson wants to take a breather but White is having none of it. Janson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Janson closes this distance looking for a takedown but White circles away. Janson dodges the punch combination from White.
A shot to the liver by White. Beautiful body shot. White comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. White misses with a series of wild punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. White keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. White is looking to wear down Janson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Janson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Nice cross by White.
And that's the end of the fight! Daniel White showed his dominance in that final round. I think White has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
