Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between matty schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Nottingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Nottingham struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
schmidt looks for a takedown but Nottingham sprawls well.
schmidt misses with a double jab.
Nottingham blocks a head kick by schmidt.

The fight stays on the outside here - schmidt looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
schmidt throws a series of punches but Nottingham moves out of range.

Nottingham feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You can see the frustration on schmidt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
schmidt doesn't manage to clinch there - Nottingham circles away.
