Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Happy Gilmore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has chosen DMX Intro as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Happy Gilmore has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Happy Gilmore seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gilmore keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Liddell. Gilmore slips under a jab. Liddell sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Liddell scores with a nice head shot.
It looks like Happy Gilmore has been cut. Gilmore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gilmore throws a low kick but Liddell avoids it. Gilmore avoids the body shot from Liddell.
Liddell misses with a looping right. Liddell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gilmore throws a head kick that misses. Liddell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Liddell misses with a wild body shot. Gilmore throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Liddell's head. Gilmore throws and low kick but Liddell moves out of range easily. Some wild striking there from Gilmore.
Gilmore moves away from the strike by Liddell. Gilmore tries to score with a low kick but Liddell moves his leg out of the way. Liddell doesn't manage to clinch there - Gilmore circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gilmore. Liddell does a little dance to reset his feet. Gilmore pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gilmore will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Liddell gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gilmore to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gilmore wants to control from the top but Liddell keeps moving. Gilmore throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Gilmore trying to control the position from guard on top but Liddell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gilmore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gilmore drops back, looking for a kneebar! Liddell looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Liddell looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Liddell! Liddell decides to take the fight back to the feet. Mark Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gilmore scores with a jab to the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell misses with an uppercut. Gilmore saw that one coming. Gilmore tried to score with a low kick but Liddell checks it. Gilmore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Liddell wants to clinch up but Gilmore keeps it at a distance. Danga de danga de dang - Gilmore scores with a four punch combination! Gilmore closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gilmore lands in his opponent's guard. Gilmore drops back looking for a leg! Liddell is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Liddell manages to kick Gilmore off! Gilmore jumps back into Liddell's guard. Gilmore drops back, looking for a kneebar! Liddell looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Liddell looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Liddell! Gilmore tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Liddell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilmore is working hard here to advance position. Gilmore manages to get back to half guard. Gilmore is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Liddell scores with a couple of nice shots. Gilmore trying to control but Liddell postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gilmore looking for submissions off his back. Liddell tries to stand and escape but Gilmore is controlling the position. Gilmore is staying active underneath Liddell, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Gilmore is trying to get back to full guard. Gilmore is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Liddell pulls his head out easily. Liddell missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Liddell pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Liddell instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Liddell blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gilmore is trying to stall.
Gilmore fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Liddell stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Gilmore is breathing heavily. Liddell pushes Gilmore back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Liddell lands a nice shot to the body. A right hook to the body lands for Liddell.
A nice left hand lands by Liddell.
Liddell lands with a light punch inside. Liddell lands a body punch in the clinch. Liddell is stalling here.
Nice body punch from Liddell. Liddell works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Liddell lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gilmore backwards. Gilmore swings wildly with an uppercut but Liddell uses good head movement to avoid it. A nice right hand lands inside from Liddell. A short left from Liddell. Gilmore has Liddell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Liddell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Happy Gilmore. That's going to take a lot out of him. Liddell lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Liddell comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Liddell lands with a short shot to the head. Liddell stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Liddell working some nice short punches in the clinch. Liddell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Liddell lands an uppercut. A hook to the body from Liddell.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Liddell dominated that round. The cut man is working on Happy Gilmore's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Liddell cracks Gilmore with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Gilmore looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Liddell finish him?
Gilmore is rocked! Liddell ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Gilmore out cold! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mark Liddell!
