Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexandros Nicolaou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicolaou comes to the ring accompanied by Anubis. Alexandros Nicolaou is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandros Nicolaou!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brandon Vera!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera checks a leg kick.
Nicolaou connects with a high kick.
It looks like Brandon Vera has been cut.
Nicolaou misses with a series of wild punches.
Nicolaou displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vera.
Alexandros Nicolaou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nicolaou misses with a jab, cross combination.
Vera misses with a takedown attempt - Nicolaou sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nicolaou has closed the distance and engaged Vera in a clinch.
Nicolaou manages to break the clinch.
Nicolaou throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nicolaou misses with a straight left.
Nicolaou throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vera gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Vera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nicolaou closes the distance looking to clinch
and Vera counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nicolaou!

Vera throws some wild stikes that Nicolaou manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Nicolaou controls the position.
Nicolaou is working to get back to half guard.
Nicolaou tries to lock up and control but Vera gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vera jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Nicolaou manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Vera swings around for an armbar but Nicolaou sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Vera's guard.
Nicolaou got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nicolaou has managed to get both his arms back between Vera's legs - danger averted.
Vera tries to strike from the bottom.
Nicolaou postures up.
Nicolaou trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Nicolaou slips nicely into half guard.
Nicolaou postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vera to stand up.
A combination from Vera does no damage.
Vera checks a low kick from Nicolaou.
Nicolaou tries to clinch but Vera moves out of range.
Nicolaou clinches but Vera breaks the clinch
and Vera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Nicolaou won't be happy with that.
Nicolaou is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Nicolaou is pushing Vera's head away, looking to escape. Vera manages to hold on to the position though.
Nicolaou is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nicolaou is trying to control Vera's posture but Vera avoids it.
Nicolaou is looking to regain half guard here but Vera keeps moving and retains side control.
Vera tries for a kimura but Nicolaou is defending well.
Nicolaou tries to buck Vera off but Vera is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alexandros Nicolaou will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Brandon Vera's cut.
That's time! Nicolaou's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Vera gets a takedown into half guard.
Nicolaou wants to get back to his feet.
Vera moves into full mount! Nicolaou won't be happy about that!
Nicolaou is trying desperately to improve position.
You get the feeling that Nicolaou really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nicolaou regains half guard.
Vera throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Vera is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Vera seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Nicolaou is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
