Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Aquilani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Dela Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alberto Aquilani is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aquilani is defended easily by Dela Cruz. Dela Cruz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Horrible takedown by Aquilani or perhaps it was just good defense by Dela Cruz which made him look bad. Dela Cruz throws a right and a left that both miss. Aquilani feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Aquilani in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Aquilani drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dela Cruz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Aquilani has Dela Cruz in his guard. Dela Cruz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dela Cruz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aquilani swivels though and keeps the full guard. Aquilani is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Dela Cruz rolls with it to try and escape but Aquilani cranks on the arm and Dela Cruz is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alberto Aquilani!
