Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sal Gorchev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Miller! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorchev tries to close the distance and clinch but Miller swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Gorchev scores with the left hand. Miller knows he should have avoided that one. Gorchev misses with a takedown attempt - Miller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Miller tries to clinch but Gorchev moves away and Gorchev counters with a lovely straight right hand! Miller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gorchev struggling a bit here. Gorchev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The ground and pound from Miller seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Miller taking a breather here. Miller stands up. Gorchev feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gorchev won't allow Miller to get back to his feet. Miller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gorchev is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gorchev prevents Miller from getting back to his feet. Miller keeping moving, preventing Gorchev from controlling successfully. Miller looking to control.
Gorchev stopping the sweep attempt from Miller. Gorchev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gorchev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gorchev will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Miller wants to stand and escape but Gorchev is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gorchev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Miller postures up.
Gorchev is breathing heavily. Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but Gorchev is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller works a leg free and moves into half guard. Miller wants to work for an arm triangle but Gorchev is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gorchev wants to get back to his feet.

Miller gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Gorchev doesn't succeed with the takedown so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sal Gorchev. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Miller looking to sit in guard and control but Gorchev gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Gorchev wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving. Miller not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Miller scrambles and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Gorchev tries to hold on but Miller pushes him away. Miller content just to control the position here. Miller wants to control the pace but Gorchev is squirming around nicely. Gorchev is bucking up trying to escape but Miller cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Gorchev tries to hold on but Miller pushes him away. Gorchev is trying to stand up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller tries to control but Gorchev wriggling away. Gorchev is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miller gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Gorchev jumps guard but Miller stands there with Gorchev around his waist. Gorchev gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Miller feints and as Gorchev raises his hands in defense, Miller changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Miller tries to free his leg and advance position but Gorchev is retaining full guard. Gorchev wants to sweep but no luck. Miller stays in close to Gorchev's body and controls the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Miller is looking to work some ground and pound but Gorchev has wrist control. Miller showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Miller controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gorchev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Gorchev is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Miller seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Miller thows a big elbow that misses.

Gorchev wants to get back to his feet but Miller is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Miller gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Miller tries to clinch but fails miserably and Gorchev counters with a shoot takedown. Miller fights it but they end up in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gorchev preventing the sweep. Miller looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Gorchev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gorchev trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom. Miller seems keen to control Gorchev's posture.

That's going to take a lot out of him. Gorchev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gorchev shoots for a takedown but Miller saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gorchev closes the distance and clinches up with Miller, looking for a takedown. Gorchev pushes Miller against the cage but Miller circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Travis Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gorchev tries a head kick but it misses.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Miller shoots in and bounces Gorchev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Miller trying to control but Gorchev is working from the bottom.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Gorchev pulls Miller in close to prevent any damage. Miller stands and steps away. Gorchev gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Miller gets a takedown into half guard. Gorchev is staying active underneath Miller, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that's the end of the fight! Travis Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Miller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
