Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jacques Francel!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ronbo throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ronbo.
Ronbo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Francel scores with the left hand. Ronbo knows he should have avoided that one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ronbo is defended easily by Francel.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie Ronbo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ronbo wants to clinch up but Francel keeps it at a distance.
Francel's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Francel duly obliges.
Ronbo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Francel swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ronbo throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Francel counters with a nice uppercut.
Ronbo tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Francel cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ronbo takes one on the button.
Ronbo throws a leg kick
and Francel counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ronbo won't be happy with that.
Francel throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Francel lands a decent elbow from side control.
Francel is chipping away with strikes.
Francel is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ronbo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ronbo is trying to get back to half guard.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Francel's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Francel tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Francel has hold of Ronbo's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Ronbo tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Francel cranks the arm and Ronbo screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Ronbo, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jacques Francel!
